Having fun in Vegas

It's not a trip to Vegas without visiting the Conservatory at The Bellagio.
I'm in the room writing while my phone charges. I had the post finished and then something went wrong and it was gone. Take two.

After the Conservatory I took the tram to Aria.
This window display is amazing. It looks good enough to eat - all chocolate and sugar.
Tonight is going to be an early evening. The Ryder Cup starts tomorrow. 8:30am at home which is 5:30 here. I'm not sure I'll be up that early but I could be out of bed before the sun rises. There is a stack of paperwork sitting in front of me. I'll type and watch. And knit. My shawl is growing.
I made it to the next colour. Now it's time to head downstairs for dinner. And watch football, baseball and hockey.

Hello from Vegas

We have a new addition at the store. A very cute storage shed. Now we have somewhere for all our show displays and extra storage for boxes and non yarn items. Now to decide on the colour. Beth thinks that we are going to paint it ourselves. I'll let her mull that over for a bit before I have someone come in and do it properly.
My flight was great. No turbulence. We left early and we had great tail winds - our flight time was 1/2 hour less than normal. You can't really ask for anything more than that. I did a bit of knitting.
This is from my hotel room. The pool is looking inviting.
I walked through the Forum Shops this morning. There are a lot of hand knits in the windows. Including some very high end stores.
I'm back in the room for a rest. Maybe a nap before the Jays game tonight.

Outline Take 2

There was a bit of knitting at Camp. Here is Outline. I loved knitting the first one and started playing with a totally different colour scheme.

This isn't the best plane knitting. There are five 100 grams skeins - that takes up a lot of room in my carry on bag. There is room in my suitcase so it will come along. Instead I've picked this.

A SweetGeorgia Party of Five to make another Hitchhiker. I wore mine all weekend at Camp and love it. I'm starting with the purple and working to lime.

Speaking of Hitchhiker, here is Sarah's. She's almost finished the fourth colour. I can't wait until the Fleece Festival. We are going to look sharp in our scarves.

The Woodstock Fleece Festival is a great show. Knitting, weaving, spinning, dying, rug hooking, felting and animals. I've been told that the lunch served at the show is really, really good. We love doing this show. The weather has started to get cold and it feels like knitting weather.

Now it's time to finish packing. Who am I kidding? There will be time for that tomorrow. I'm going to knit. :)

Evening of Fun

Saturday night is our student fashion show. The ladies always bring amazing projects to show off.

Kate Atherley taught at Camp last year. Both Janet and Julie bought the kit to make her Rosetta Tharpe and last night we saw the finished shawls.

I was busy oohing and aahig with the rest of the room. I missed pictures of a lot of the garments but here are a few that I did get.

Thanks to all the Campers for another great weekend. We had a lot of laughs and I'm pretty sure that everyone learned something during their workshops.

My first load of laundry is in. The suitcase isn't going upstairs because it's being repacked. I'm leaving Tuesday evening for a few days of rest. Now I need to pick out my airplane project.

Arriving in Style

This is how to arrive at Camp. Nancy and Lorna sat in the back seat and knit while Wayne drove them. Then he unloaded the car. Lucky ladies.
Sally's students were very attentive this morning.
We had the fashion show after dinner last night and I totally forgot to finish my post. It's Saturday morning and fall has hit. It was 4C here. Sweater weather. The lake was very pretty.
The ladies are in class. I sat in on the first 10 minutes of Sally's class and learned a lot. Fiona is teaching cables and I'm heading to hear her great cable tips.

Thursday at Camp

It was beautiful this morning. Knitting outside would have been fun but I was setting up the yarn shop.

The yarn shop is ready to go and now I'm waiting for the Campers to arrive.
I think they are going to like their goodie bags.

Let the games begin

Fiona arrived at Camp in style this afternoon.
The lake was very quiet we when got here. It's good to be back. The van is unloaded and we're ready to set up a yarn store tomorrow. The goodie bags are finished. Wow. Our suppliers are awesome.
Now a bit of knitting and then a good nights sleep.
