Pleasant Pheasant

Diana finished this shawl over the weekend. It is so beautiful. The pattern is called Isn't it Romantic? and is knit with one String Quintet kit from Lorna's Laces.
The pattern is only available with the kit right now. It will be available for purchase on Ravelry at the end of the year.

The February Dream Club has arrived.
From the designer, Laura Neel
When I felt this squishy, cozy yarn, I knew I wanted to make slippers from it! But, I also wanted them to last for a little bit. So, I made them almost entirely out of Eye of Partridge stitch, which is normally used just for the heel flap on top-down socks. The color reminded me of the bright plumage of pheasants, so the Pleasant Pheasant slippers were born!
These are toe-up slippers that are knit in the round until the heel shaping. The heel is worked back-and-forth with a little shaping, then bound off with a fun, three- needle bind off you may not have tried before - the zig-zag bind off.
What is this squishy yarn? Dream in Color Classy with Cashmere

An exquisite blend of luxury fibers and a refined twist unite to make Classy with Cashmere an exceptional yarn indeed. 20% cashmere lends the yarn an irresistible softness, while 10% nylon and 70% superwash merino make Classy with Cashmere a superb choice for well-loved baby garments and special occasion accessories alike.
The yarn and pattern are $45.50.

There was more Classy with Cashmere in the box.
We'll be making up kits for this simple to knit, Classy with Cashmere cowl. If you like the special edition colour but don't want to make slippers, two skeins will make the cowl.

I'm going to hit Publish and start on tomorrow's post. There is another new sample and more yarn to write about.
