What is DK?

Late yesterday afternoon Mr. Canpar brought in 2 boxes of Zara.

Zara is machine washable merino wool from Italy.

The yarn knits to a double knitting weight tension (22 stitches on 4mm needles = 4")
We have many, many colours in stock.  It is great for babies as well as adult garments.

I love knitting with Zara and hear comments from customers every day saying that the yarn is a dream to knit with.
The term double knitting (DK for short) confuses many knitters. They think that they must hold two strands of yarn together. Double knitting is a thickness-like 4ply and chunky.
